Simple, Clean Lines

With a desire to spend the remainder of their lives farming their own vegetables surrounded by mountains, a retired couple employed Tokyo architectural firm MDS to create themselves a structure orientated to capitalize on the prevailing winds, receive optimal sun angles, and gain the best mountain views.

Perhaps it is the new year, but recently we've been feeling the need to pare back. Taking inspiration from this Japanese farmhouse, we're looking to refresh our interiors with lashings of fresh linen, ceramics, glass and bare wood. Maybe the long weekend is the perfect time to do so...?
