The Dogs Coat of Arms Dinner Plate is composed with the restraint of a formal service — a bold border of deep red laurel leaves edged in gold running the full circumference, and at the centre, a small heraldic device: two green dogs flanking a red-rimmed cartouche, with a tree rising above. The white ground between border and motif does all the work that white space should, giving the plate a formality that still feels alive at a table.

A collaboration between Astier de Villatte and New York designer John Derian. The design is applied as a fired decal, archival imagery selected by John Derian and fused permanently into the glaze.
