Jerusalem Incense

A pilgrimage through Jerusalem's celestial city — bounded by its ancient ramparts, its paths leading to the Holy Sepulchre, the Wailing Wall, the Garden of Olives. Church incense spirals through the air, dissolving into the dark, secret emanations of oud and nutmeg, then lifting into the lighter, more vegetal character of gum resin and cypress. A city that carries centuries of prayer in its stones.

Oud-wood anchors the composition with its characteristic dark, resinous depth — rare and unhurried. Nutmeg introduces a warm, spiced note beneath, while galbanum and green notes bring a cooler, more vegetal clarity to the heart. Cypress wood grounds everything with a clean, dry resinous quality that keeps the composition from becoming too heavy.
