Tucson — planted in the Arizona desert, surrounded by giant cacti of extraordinary shape. Downtown streets lined with colourful houses, the heat pressing down, the shade of a mesquite offering brief relief. A little glass of mezcal. In the air, the intoxicating scents of the Far West: smoky and sweet, wild grasses and parched wood, immortelle and red earth burnt by the sun.
In a room, it reads as expansive and quietly wild — warm and resinous without heaviness. Suited to an evening, a study, or anywhere that benefits from something with real landscape and character in the air.
Immortelle and rosemary open with a dry, herbal brightness — sun-dried and immediately evocative. Rose introduces a warm, dusty floral note at the heart, while oregano, thyme, and laurel add a wild, Mediterranean-desert character beneath. Atlas cedar and lignum vitae bring a parched, woody depth, vetiver and birch a smoky earthiness. Labdanum adds its characteristic amber warmth, black pepper a dry, sharp edge, and patchouli grounds the whole in a dark, resinous close.
