Vase d'Avril

$465 NZD

The Vase d’Avril is one of the most iconic creations by Tsé & Tsé, celebrated for its thoughtful balance of structure and spontaneity. Designed as a flexible chain of 21 interlocking glass tubes, this sculptural vase invites constant reinvention — bending, stretching, looping, or fragmenting into entirely new forms.

Its zinc-coated steel framework allows the vase to articulate freely, adapting to the rhythm of a space or the simplicity of a few carefully placed stems. The chain can be separated into two segments, rejoined into a circular form, or extended indefinitely when paired with additional vases — a quiet invitation to play and creativity.

Equally functional and expressive, the Vase d’Avril transforms even the most minimal floral arrangement into a living composition. Over time, gentle oxidation of the metal develops a soft white patina, adding to its character and sense of lived beauty.

A signature object — at once sculptural, playful, and enduring.

Dimensions - 15cm high, 18-74cm total length (adjustable), each test tube is 3cm in diameter.

Materials: Glass tubes with zinc-coated steel structure

ABOUT the MAKER

Tsé & Tsé Associées

Tsé & Tsé associées is a French design house celebrated for its playful, poetic approach to everyday objects. Founded in 1991 by Parisian designers Sigolène Prébois and Catherine Lévy, it remains one of the few independent design companies in France. Each piece is conceived, prototyped, and refined in their Bastille workshop, where a small, dedicated team oversees every stage from idea to final product. Known for their originality and irregularity, Tsé & Tsé creations are intentionally unique — no two items are ever quite the same. These thoughtful differences are the brand’s signature, adding soul and story to each object. At Tessuti, we offer a curated selection of Tsé & Tsé objects that combine French charm with enduring function — perfect for the home that values character and craftsmanship.
