Trailing stems of carnations, tulips and exotic blooms in madder red, burgundy and sage wind across an écru ground in the Indienne tradition — the style of European printed cloth inspired by the Indian cottons that arrived by trading ship in the 17th century and transformed the decorative arts of the continent. Part of Slow's Libri Muti (Mute Books) series, this smaller-format notebook is made entirely by hand in Florence using traditional printing and bookbinding techniques that Founders Roberto di Filitto and Nathalie Schneider have spent years researching and reviving.
The page edges are hand-coloured in violet. Pages are PEFC-certified and acid-free.
