The Innate Textile collection celebrates that great Southern land and its lifestyle. Informal, relaxed and sensual, it seeks to express the essence of Australia.
The collection is the result of a collaboration between friends Fiona Spence, renown retailer, and Wanda Jelmini, textile Designer at Missoni Home for 30 years.
Its first inspiration, three works by celebrated Australian landscape painter Luke Sciberras.
'Out of Katherine' inspired two stories for the Territory collection, Morning and Evening.
They illustrate the passage of time as it travels over the landscape and the metals within. These stories reflect a sophisticated colour palette and complex textile resolutions, allowing the metals to shine through matt textures in high relief.
