A Collaborative 'Meet The Makers' Evening

To celebrate spring and the arrival of daylight savings, the Tessuti team hosted MEET THE MAKERS - the second of our series of fun and interactive evenings, where we met some of the wonderful local makers and creators behind the works we admire.

The evening was magic and our senses were livened with Eleanor from Petite Kitchen talking through a selection of delicious recipes from her new cook book 'The Family Table'. We were lucky enough to taste-test her delicious Massaged Kale Salad, Pea and Avocado Guacamole with crackers and Lemon and Poppyseed cakes with crème fraîche icing. Rachel Carley from Rachel Carley Ceramics then spoke about food-and-plate matching and her intriguing design process, including her vase series which we found out is a beautiful homage to her most favourite artist, Giorgio Morandi. In response to all of the flavours and colours, local florist Lydia Reusser demonstrated how to create a variation of beautiful floral table arrangements that used fragrant seasonal blooms and foraged garden foliage. To end, Ali effortlessly whipped together a Tessuti-inspired table setting for gatherings and informal dinners using the store's most treasured pieces including copper and rich wooden hues.

The evening was washed down with iced tea cocktails from Storm & India Tea Sisters and Rogue Society Gin. A big thank you to everyone who came along, and we hope our lucky prize winners are enjoying their special treats!
