Benmore Baby Knits

Benmore has been making knitwear in Otago since the brand was founded — each piece knitted and hand finished in small runs, from a merino and cashmere blend sourced directly from an Italian mill. The yarn is superfine, naturally temperature-regulating, and exceptionally soft against newborn skin.

The pieces are simple in design and considered in construction. A cable knit cardigan with a wide shawl collar. A longer-line dress cardigan with raglan sleeves. A sleeveless vest, a basketweave blanket, a fitted hat and bootie. Each one made to be worn daily, washed carefully, and passed on.

At Tessuti we carry the full Benmore layette in blush pink and warm white — pieces that will be reached for in the early weeks, folded away when outgrown, and kept.
