Solid gold jewellery by Charlotte Penman and Louise Douglas — two New Zealand makers working in 9k and 14k gold with the same hands-on approach that defines everything they make.
Charlotte sets natural stones in solid gold — a cushion-cut green quartz held by a sculptural serpent, a natural emerald in a slender engraved band, a ginkgo leaf cast in 9k gold on a fine 14k chain. Louise works from her Nelson studio, casting botanical and found-object forms directly into gold — small-batch, hand-finished, and buffed to retain the subtle surface texture of the original carving.
Solid gold pieces from both makers are designed to be worn daily and kept indefinitely.
