A square-cut workwear jacket — structured and functional.
Crafted from a Japanese wool and linen blend, the Beige Stripe cloth dates to the early 1990s, woven in a small, longstanding mill in Bishu, Japan. The fabric offers a balanced hand, combining the structure of wool with the breathability of linen, while the stripe lends a subtle, graphic rhythm to the piece.
Each garment is entirely cut, sewn, and finished by Oliver Church in Paris, reflecting a deeply personal and deliberate approach to making. Traditional techniques are used throughout — hand-sewn buttonholes in French soie perlée, hand-shanked vintage buttons with antique shell backing, and a collar closed by hand for a softer, more natural finish. Reinforcement is achieved using handwoven cotton, with no fusing or synthetic bonding, allowing the garment to age with integrity.
The silhouette is clean and square, with a slightly boxy proportion that sits away from the body. Two large patch pockets at the hem and an internal chest pocket provide practical function, while flat felled seams ensure durability and longevity. Each piece is accompanied by a fabric swatch for ongoing care and repair.
A singular piece — graphic in composition, grounded in workwear, and made to endure.
