BRUME introduces a handwoven blanket in a custom Mohair blend, distinguished by clear form and complex craft. A soft linear accent traces its edges, accented by hand-braided fringing. This essentialist design belies a highly skilled artisanal process that sees Mohair interlaced with fine Merino fibres to stabilise the weave through advanced handcraft and loom work.
With mohair in generous measure, the airy, cloud-like fibres create luminosity and volume, while the weave is stabilised for structural integrity. Each piece in the limited run carries its exceptional quality through years of everyday presence.
As part of this limited collection, every blanket is presented with a numbered card, a brushed-cotton dust bag and a wooden brush.
As a naturally renewable resource needing no chemical treatment, mohair goes gently on the earth in its production while providing strength and resilience when spun into yarn.
