Incense Cones - Boxed

Fischersund began as a family fragrance project in Reykjavík — three siblings and their father, working from a studio in the oldest part of the city. The incense cones are handmade there, packed into hand-stamped tins made by their father Birgir. The whole thing is made by one family, which shows in the object.

In a room, the scent is immediate and distinctive — smoky and resinous, with a sharpness from the birch tar and pine that clears the air rather than sweetening it. It suits a space that benefits from something honest and slightly austere: a studio, a bathroom, a room that needs resetting.

Birch tar forms the dark, smoky core — purifying and faintly medicinal in the Nordic tradition. Icelandic pine adds a clean, resinous green note that opens the composition. Citrus oil cuts through the smokiness with a bright, fresh clarity, leaving the air feeling both scented and genuinely cleaner.
