The Sunday Shoe – Closed in Velluto Nero is a timeless expression of Italian craftsmanship and quiet elegance. Conceived over 80 years ago and still made entirely by hand, each pair is crafted by skilled women artisans in the Friuli Venezia Giulia region of Italy, using traditional techniques passed down through generations.

The closed silhouette is cut from plush black cotton velvet, offering a refined yet relaxed finish that moves effortlessly from home to travel and everyday wear. The upper (La Tomaia) is hand-stitched to the sole (La Suola) with waxed thread, while the rubber sole — made from recycled bicycle tyres — is machine stitched rather than glued, ensuring breathability, flexibility, and lasting comfort.
