Earrings by Charlotte Penman and Louise Douglas — two New Zealand makers whose work sits at opposite ends of the same sensibility.
Charlotte's earrings draw on ancient motifs and sculptural form: classical palmette discs in gold plate, serpent designs in solid gold, tiny heart drops in rolled gold. Louise's come from the natural world — hand-carved and lost wax cast in oxidised sterling silver, finished with freshwater pearl.
