The Ocean Gem Drops by Louise Douglas carry the same hand-finished cluster as the Ocean Gem Necklace — garnet, freshwater pearl, and moissanite set together in oxidised sterling silver, on a smaller scale that sits close to the ear.
Made in Louise Douglas's Nelson studio using the lost wax casting technique, each pendant surface is irregular and organic, its texture echoing the encrusted quality of stone pulled from the sea. A 5mm round garnet sits at the centre, its deep red drawing the eye; a freshwater pearl nestles beside it, and two 2mm moissanites catch the light from the edges of the setting. Sterling silver shepherd hooks complete the earring.
