A forest mushroom cap, hand-carved and lost wax cast in oxidised sterling silver — circular, textured, and alive with surface detail.
Made in Louise Douglas's Nelson studio, each disc is cast from a hand-carved wax original, its radiating gills rendered with the kind of precision that only comes from working at this scale by hand. At the centre, a 4mm round smoky topaz sits in a 9k gold bezel setting — the amber depth of the stone drawing warmth from the dark antique finish of the silver around it. Gold-filled hooks allow the disc to hang and move freely.
