we visit the home of Jay Vosoghi and Sara Mostofi in Milan...

Ever impressed with their devotion to craftsmanship, R+D LAB have released a sophisticated collection of throws made from cashmere and lambswool milled in one of Italy's most renowned mills.

To celebrate their arrival, we look back on our visit to R+D LAB founders Jay Vosoghi and Sara Mostofi's studio home in Milan earlier this year. Served chocolate and tea from Paris, we talked through their most recent offerings, revealing their innate love for classic design...

Crafted from the highest quality of noble fibres, and woven with techniques that are centuries old; the innovation of design comes from modern approach in combination of colours and patterns. The result gives each piece a simple elegance.

The blankets are made of fine yarn from lambs wool and cashmere with a soft felted finishing to give warmth, yet remain light weight. A jacquard loom is used to weave each work of art. The edges are fished with a contrast colour stitching in an exclusive method, a hand rolled edge that creates a cording effect.

Both originally American, Jay and Sara are now absolutely considered locals in Milan. This was proven to us as we were whisked around their favourite spots for aperitivo, at Pasticceria Cova and the best table at Antica Trattoria alla Pesa. Our evening ended with a walk through the Piazza at Corso Venezia, and a drive past the city's oldest monuments.
