Landing on the frozen asphalt of the airport, lost between the ocean and snowcapped peaks. From the coldness of the quickly-thawing landscape there arise fragrant green and woody scents — breaths of wild plants and resins, cold air carrying something ancient and undomesticated.
In a room, Anchorage is one of the more subtle performers in the ADV range — an intimate, wafting presence that rewards a smaller space. A bedroom, a study, or a quiet corner rather than an open room.
Star anise and absinthe lead with a sharp, anisic clarity — cold and slightly medicinal. Artemisia and clary sage add a dry, aromatic depth beneath, wild and unhurried. Virginia cedar and patchouli ground the composition with a quiet resinous warmth that anchors the whole in something earthier and more enduring.
