Anchorage Incense

Anchorage: the frozen asphalt of an airport set between ocean and snowcapped peaks. This fragrance is drawn from that particular disorientation — the cold air of a landscape caught between seasons, wild plants beginning to release their scent as the thaw takes hold.

In a room, it reads as cool and expansive — the kind of scent that opens a space up rather than settling into it. Well suited to a morning, a workspace, or anywhere that benefits from a sense of fresh, unencumbered air.

Star anise and absinthe lead with a sharp, anisic clarity — cold and slightly medicinal, like air arriving off a glacier. Artemisia and clary sage add a dry, aromatic depth beneath, wild and undomesticated. Virginia cedar and patchouli ground the composition with a quiet resinous warmth, anchoring the whole in something earthier and more enduring.
