Aoyama Candle 260g

Aoyama — once a quiet village on the outskirts of Edo, now folded into the fabric of Tokyo — retains something of its original stillness in the older streets that remain. For Sonya Park, this fragrance is drawn from that memory: the interior of a traditional wooden house, its beams darkened with age, the air carrying damp wood, incense, and the faint trace of freshly laundered linen.

In a room, Aoyama is one of the stronger performers in the ADV candle range — a deeply grounding presence that throws well without becoming cloying. Suited to a study, a living room, or anywhere that benefits from a sense of accumulated calm.

Clove and lignum vitae form the spiced, resinous core — dense and unhurried. Vetiver adds a smoky, rooted depth beneath, while patchouli introduces a dark, earthy undertow. Hinoki wood brings a clean, precise Japanese cedar quality to the base, and a moss accord runs beneath everything, keeping the composition cool and fresh against the weight of the woods.
