Blue Universe Plate

The Blue Universe Plate carries a vintage celestial chart across its surface, constellations and their guiding lines laid over a teal ground, the sun at the centre and the planets picked out in gold and silver from Mercury to Jupiter.

Part of Astier de Villatte's ongoing collaboration with John Derian, the imagery applied as a fired decal, archival illustration selected by John Derian and fused permanently into the glaze.

Dimensions: 20.5 × 20.5 × 1.3cm.
