A hand resting palm-up, fingers curved inward to hold a single incense stick — the smoke rising from the point where thumb meets forefinger. The form is drawn from sculpture: a wrist adorned with moulded bracelets, the fingers articulated with care, the whole piece glazed in Astier's milky white over terracotta that deepens in the creases.
Made in collaboration with French artist Serena Carone, whose interest in expressive, object-based work shaped the design. The Bracelets Incense Holder functions as both a holder and a small sculpture in its own right.
Dimensions: 148 × 90 × 85mm.
Handmade ceramic, made in Paris.
