The Cloud & Crescent Moon Saucer by Astier de Villatte, created in collaboration with New York designer John Derian, is a poetic composition — where sky, symbolism, and storytelling meet in miniature form.
At its centre, a crescent moon emerges through softly illustrated clouds, rendered in delicate detail against the ceramic surface. The imagery evokes a dreamlike atmosphere, characteristic of John Derian’s distinctive visual language, transforming a simple saucer into an object of quiet imagination.
Handmade in Astier de Villatte’s Parisian workshops, the ceramic is finished in the maison’s signature milky white glaze, revealing subtle irregularities and glimpses of warm brown clay beneath — a hallmark of its artisanal process. Each piece is entirely unique.
Perfect as a resting place for small objects, a saucer for serving, or a decorative accent, it brings a sense of narrative and stillness to everyday rituals.
