The Eva Stand reads as something grown rather than made — a pedestal ringed by a corona of drooping branches and vines, each element distinct, none repeating exactly. The white-glazed terracotta surface catches the texture of bark and hanging growth, the glaze pooling in the crevices and lifting at the edges to reveal the dark clay beneath.
Made in collaboration with Eva Jospin — visual artist and cardboard sculptor — the Eva Collection marks a first major collaboration and a long-standing friendship between Jospin and Astier de Villatte. Jospin describes the interlacing of vines and branches as working "like a work of Nature, which proliferates without ever reproducing itself identically." Also available in a smaller size.
