Mini Acorn Necklace

A hand-carved acorn cup and oak leaf in oxidised sterling silver, a freshwater pearl suspended beneath — small in scale, considered in every detail. Made in Louise Douglas's Nelson studio using the lost wax casting technique, the acorn cup and leaf charm are carved in wax before being cast in sterling silver, hand-finished, and oxidised to a dark antique tone. The freshwater pearl sits beneath the acorn cup, pale and round against the depth of the silver. The two charms hang separately on a fine sterling silver chain — a piece that carries something of the found world with it, and wears as quietly as it was made.
