The Setsuko Fruit Stand (Large) is a footed bowl of generous scale and considered sculptural detail — lemons, pomegranates and pears rendered in low relief encircle its exterior, while the pedestal rises from a base wrapped in veined leaf forms. It is the work of artist Setsuko Klossowska de Rola in collaboration with Astier de Villatte, and it carries the quality of a classical still life translated into three dimensions. White-glazed over dark clay, the surface holds the natural irregularities of a piece made entirely by hand — no two are the same.
Substantial enough to anchor a table, resolved enough to stand alone. Handmade in Paris in Astier de Villatte's workshops. Also available in a smaller size.
Diameter 28.5 cm, height 24.5 cm.
