Tessuti's baby and children's collection celebrates the simplicity of early childhood: knitted vests, booties, hats and soft blankets, alongside toys and storybooks made to last and be passed down.
Natural fibres are chosen for how they feel against new skin and how they wear, softening with use and holding up to being handed on from one child to the next.
Joining them are small hand-painted ceramics by New Zealand artist Luca, known as Artist L. Her work draws on the illustrations of children's picture books: a mouse in a striped jumper, a tiny figure carrying an oversized fork, a carousel with a single black horse. Each piece is hand-built and painted in her New Zealand studio, small in scale and sitting easily on a nursery shelf or windowsill.
Chosen as newborn presents, baby shower gifts, christening gifts or keepsakes for new parents, everything here is made to be kept, and to be passed on.
