Hauraki Gulf

$598 USD
(Last One)

Hauraki Gulf is an original acrylic on canvas (200 × 200 mm) by New Zealand artist Max Thomson — a quietly atmospheric work that captures the shifting mood of sea and sky.

Layered brushstrokes describe a brooding sky moving across the horizon, while softened forms of land emerge from the water below. The tonal contrast between darkened clouds and the gentle luminosity of the gulf creates a sense of depth and stillness, evoking a moment suspended between calm and change.

Intimate in scale yet expansive in feeling, the painting reflects Thomson’s long-standing connection to coastal landscapes, where atmosphere and emotion guide the composition more than precise detail.

Dimensions: 200 × 200 mm

Medium: Acrylic on canvas
