The Katerina Tablecloth is drawn from a silk swatch dated 1831, discovered by Autumn Sonata and traced to Vienna during the Biedermeier period, an era defined by its balance of delicate ornament and technical refinement. The neoclassical repeat, with its interlocking lattice of leaves and floral sprigs, carries that restrained elegance into a printed linen for the contemporary table.
Printed on 100% linen, Katerina has the soft, relaxed hand of well-made table linen. Subtle tones of brown and gold on a warm ground echo the modest palette of early 19th-century interiors, and sit as naturally at an everyday table as a more considered one.
Size: 178 × 335 cm.
100% Linen. Made in Portugal.
ABOUT the MAKER
Autumn Sonata
Autumn Sonata is a design atelier dedicated to reimagining the past through a refined, contemporary lens. Founded by Lilli Elias in 2022, the studio weaves together archival research and modern design sensibility to create thoughtful home furnishings that honour history while embracing the present. Each collection begins with the discovery of storied objects, antique prints, heirlooms, and forgotten fragments sourced from European estates. These pieces are then reinterpreted into elegant, functional forms for modern interiors, preserving the spirit of their history while offering renewed purpose. Rooted in archival practice and guided by a deep respect for craftsmanship, Autumn Sonata’s designs create a poetic connection between eras. At Tessuti, we are proud to present this evolving collection. Timeless furnishings that invite you to live with beauty, memory, and meaning.
