The Large Petulla Tumbler with Drapery flares upward from a slim, waisted base to a wide, beaded rim, the body caught midway by three raised bosses from which drapery folds hang in soft, looping swags. The effect reads as fabric gathered and pinned rather than modelled in clay, each fold catching the light differently as it curves round the piece.
Part of the Petulla Collection, a range built around fluted bowls and salad dishes alongside eggcups, goblets, and cups like this one, their deep cavities finished as if carved by hand with a mirette.
