Scaturchio has stood on Piazza San Domenico Maggiore since 1905 — a pasticceria of marble counters, pressed tin ceilings, and the particular deep-roast smell of Neapolitan espresso. This fragrance takes its cue from the pastiera on the counter: wheat and ricotta pastry scented with orange blossom, the kind of thing that exists only in this city, in this season.
In a room, it is warm, floral, and gently sweet — closer to a patisserie than a garden. The throw is moderate; it fills the air without dominating it, and suits a kitchen, dining room, or any space that welcomes something soft and food-adjacent. A candle for daytime as much as evening.
Almond opens with a soft, slightly marzipan warmth — present but not cloying. Orange blossom and neroli carry the citrus-floral heart, luminous and faintly honeyed. Ylang-ylang deepens the floral quality with its characteristic creamy richness. Petitgrain runs through the composition as a crisp, green counterweight, keeping the sweetness honest and the whole from tipping into confection.
