A rock pool rendered in oxidised sterling silver — garnet, freshwater pearl, and moissanite set together in a hand-finished cluster that carries the texture of something found rather than made.
Made in Louise Douglas's Nelson studio using the lost wax casting technique, the pendant surface is irregular and organic, its form echoing the encrusted quality of stone pulled from the sea. A 5mm round garnet sits at the centre, its deep red drawing the eye; a freshwater pearl nestles beside it, and two 2mm moissanites catch the light from the edges of the setting. The pendant hangs on an oxidised sterling silver chain, its dark antique finish grounding the warmth of the stones above.
Small in scale, considered in every detail.
