Palais d'Hiver Incense

An icy mist over the Neva, and then — the rising sun lighting up the sumptuous facade of the Winter Palace. Through the tall windows, its rays fall across stucco and rich gilding, ballrooms still and cold in the early morning. The air carries the scent of the tsarinas: musky patchouli and the exuberance of white flowers, warm against the frozen grandeur of St Petersburg.

In a room, it reads as opulent and quietly feminine — full of presence without heaviness. Suited to an evening, a bedroom, or anywhere that benefits from something rich and deeply considered in the air.

Patchouli leads with a deep, earthy warmth — present and unhurried. Orange blossom and ylang ylang introduce a lush, white floral exuberance at the heart, sweet and slightly heady. Vetiver adds a smoky, rooted depth beneath, while Virginia cedar brings a dry, resinous structure. White musk carries the whole composition to a clean, skin-like close that lingers long after the stick has burned down.
