A scallop-edged band cast in oxidised sterling silver, cradling a row of peacock freshwater pearls wired in place with 14k rolled gold.
Made in Louise Douglas's Nelson studio using the lost wax casting technique, the band is hand-carved in wax before being cast in sterling silver, hand-finished, and oxidised to a dark antique tone. The scalloped edges frame the pearls from above and below — their iridescent green-black surface sitting quietly against the depth of the oxidised silver, a pairing that feels as much found as designed. Worn alone or stacked with plainer rings on either side, it holds its own either way.
