Cast in Astier de Villatte's platinum lustre, this pot carries a cool, silvery sheen rather than a fixed metallic colour — the surface shifting between grey, white, and pale gold depending on the light. The lustre is painted over an already-fired white glaze and returned to the kiln for a second firing, fusing metal and glaze into a single, glass-like surface.
It holds a bundle of incense sticks comfortably, and works just as well filled with pencils, a few brushes, or a handful of stems left loose in water.
