A crushed grape silk velvet — deep purple with an underlying warmth, shifting between plum and violet as the pile moves in the light — finished on all four sides with a dusty peach-rose fringe. The two colours sit at opposite ends of the warm spectrum and work precisely because of it, the fringe softening the depth of the velvet without diminishing it.
Designed in Germany and made by hand in India, with fabric dyed to Anke Drechsel's own colour specifications.
