The Amy Frog in Shaded Yellow sits low and attentive, its silk velvet surface moving through olive, warm gold and pale sand — a colourway that reads almost botanical. Scattered across the body, small floral motifs in deep pink and yellow are connected by fine trailing stems in olive satin stitch, as though the frog has wandered through something in bloom and carried it with it.
Designed in Germany and made by hand in India, each Amy Frog is embroidered on the frame, piece by piece. The fabric is dyed to Drechsel's own colour specifications before a stitch is placed — which means the Shaded Yellow colourway, with its particular movement between gold and green, exists nowhere else.
