The Enny Cushion in Shaded Brown covers a deep tobacco-brown silk velvet ground entirely in gold. The motif is a spreading leaf — each one worked in dense, directional satin stitch with a faint metallic thread running through it — arranged in clusters that radiate outward like foliage caught mid-movement. The embroidery is so closely packed that the velvet beneath barely shows, the whole face reading as a continuous field of warm, burnished gold.
Designed in Germany and made by hand in India, each Enny Cushion is embroidered on the frame, piece by piece, with fabric dyed to Drechsel's own colour specifications. The plain shaded brown velvet back offers a quieter counterpoint to the embroidered face.
