The Bouquet Lion in Shaded Yellow is warm throughout — amber-gold silk velvet worked with large peony and chrysanthemum blooms in blush, cream and deep rose, with green leaf embroidery running between them. The mane is dense gold fringing, hand-worked and full, that falls close to the colour of the velvet beneath it. Where other colourways use contrast, this one builds everything from the same register of warmth.
Designed in Germany and made by hand in India, each Bouquet Lion is embroidered on the frame, piece by piece, with fabric dyed to Drechsel's own colour specifications. The tail ends in a small tassel — the same gold as the mane — a detail that is easy to miss and difficult to forget.
