Sarah Espeute is a french Artist-Designer who appreciates and works on decorative elements as if they were sensitive pieces, Oeuvres sensibles.
In October 2024, Sarah imagined the exhibition 'A Well Dressed Apartment'. She was invited to dress a gallery-apartment located at 34 Rue Louise-Émilie, Paris. Inspired, Sarah developed a collection of bespoke curtains. These 'garment curtains' are a fusion of wardrobe and furniture, designed to dress interiors with oversized, surrealist elements. Reinventing the curtain as a true piece of textile art, her work blends fashion and design in an entirely unique way.
La Chemise Damier (The Checkerboard Shirt Curtain). A unique creation designed to interact with light and bring a textile presence full of character and singularity to your space. Please note the one available may differ to the photo.
Dimensions: 250 x 90cm.
Composition: 60% cotton, 40% hemp with indigo and linen pieces.
Handmade in the atelier in Marseille, South of France.
Hanging Advice: Use 8 ring clips for a perfect fall. You can let the curtains hover just above the floor for a 'hanging garment' effect or allow them to pool gracefully for a more fluid, flowing look.
