Sarah Espeute treats every piece she creates as a sensitive work, an œuvre sensible — decorative elements considered with the same care as art.
Festin au Jardin draws on the quiet charm of a flourishing vegetable garden, where seasonal fruits and vegetables grow in harmony with nature. Each of the six napkins is hand-embroidered with its own motif — lemon, grape, ladybird, pomegranate, fig, and pear — a small, vivid still life for the table.
Size: 42 × 52 cm each. Set of 6.
100% GOTS Certified organic Belgian linen. Handmade in the atelier in Marseille, South of France.
ABOUT the MAKER
Sarah Espuete - Oeuvres Sensibles
Oeuvres Sensibles is the textile project of French artist and designer Sarah Espeute. Each creation is treated as a "sensitive work," an œuvre sensible. Depending on the design, her individual pieces are either completely hand-embroidered by independent artisans in Marseille or Cornely machine-embroidered in Marseille, using a hand-guided technique dating to the 19th century. The textiles are made from a mix of vintage French linen and cotton sheets, sourced from private homes across France and ranging from 50 to 100 years old, and carefully sourced new French fabrics. Each carries its own story, woven into the embroidered piece. At Tessuti, we offer these nostalgic pieces: each a unique blend of memory, material, and artistry.
