Impératoire has a light, dry scent of clove and vetiver, lifted at the edges by something green. The soap has a velvety texture and a soft, full lather, and leaves skin feeling smooth once rinsed.
It takes its name from imperatoria, or masterwort, a mountain plant long used in traditional herbal remedies, an extract of which is part of the formula.
