La Lampe Frechin
La Lampe Frechin, by DCW éditions Paris, is a striking exploration of the dialogue between science, design, and technology. Designed by Jean-Louis Frechin, this sculptural lamp draws inspiration from optical instruments, its elongated form subtly echoing the silhouette of a telescope.
Crafted from borosilicate glass, the lamp’s body reveals a delicate internal ripple effect, softly diffusing light to create a warm, atmospheric glow. The glass cylinder is secured with a refined, gold-toned anodised aluminium clasp and anchored by a solid black marble base, offering both visual contrast and reassuring weight.
Generous in scale, La Lampe Frechin can be used either as a table lamp or placed directly on the floor, where its architectural presence can be fully appreciated. An integrated touch dimmer with three light settings allows the ambience to be adjusted effortlessly, from gentle evening light to a more luminous glow. The lamp can be positioned upright or angled, adding further versatility to its sculptural form.
At once imaginative and precise, La Lampe Frechin embodies DCW éditions Paris’ philosophy of creating objects that are honest, enduring, and designed to be lived with—pieces that transcend trends and pass gracefully between generations.
