The Little Daffodil is a hand-painted copper flower sculpture that captures the bright clarity and simple form of this early spring bloom in a refined, smaller scale. Each element is carefully shaped and painted by hand in the Milan atelier of Elisabetta and Carolina Sonzini, where traditional craftsmanship is expressed through a considered botanical lens.
Created using tôle peinte, an 18th-century French technique of painting on metal, the piece reveals subtle depth and tonal variation through its hand-applied finish. The open petals and defined centre bring a sense of lightness and gentle structure to the form.
Mounted on a simple black wooden base, the Little Daffodil is designed as a sculptural object - adding a fresh, considered presence to a console, mantel, or bedside setting. A lasting bloom, it reflects a thoughtful approach to material and craftsmanship.
