The Lola Cushion in Antique Gold carries a single large composition across its face: scrolling stems bearing open roses in rose-pink and coral, star-shaped flowers in powder blue, toothed leaves edged in teal and chartreuse, and small daisy blooms in dusty pink. The embroidery is generous in scale and varied in technique — satin stitch, raised padded forms, fine stem stitch — worked on a bright antique gold silk velvet that shifts between amber and deeper gold as the pile moves in the light.
Designed in Germany and made by hand in India, each Lola Cushion is embroidered on the frame, piece by piece, with fabric dyed to Drechsel's own colour specifications.
