The Luxus Elephant Small in Gold & Platinum carries exactly the same surface as its larger counterpart — flat silver sequins and fine gold bugle beads, hand-applied across every surface — but the smaller form gives the work a different quality. At 14 × 18 cm, the density of the sequins and beads reads as more concentrated, the whole piece more compact and self-contained. The tail ends in a small gold tassel. The soles and reverse of the ears are plain silver velvet.
Designed in Germany and made by hand in India, to Drechsel's own specifications. The two sizes work together on a shelf — the fourth image shows them paired — but each stands entirely on its own.
