The Miranda Giraffe in Citrine stands tall on four legs, its long neck and full fringe mane giving it a presence that belies its size. Fine cream stem work traces looping stems, small leaves and berry clusters across the citrine yellow velvet in a continuous all-over pattern, as though drawn onto the surface. Between these, larger blooms in warm taupe, blush pink and brown are worked with more density, anchoring the trailing embroidery around them.
Designed in Germany and made by hand in India, each Miranda Giraffe is embroidered on the frame, piece by piece, with fabric dyed to Drechsel's own colour specifications. The Citrine colourway — warm yellow velvet, cream tracery, taupe and brown blooms — is botanical in feeling, as though the giraffe has walked through a garden and carried it with her.
