Passiflora Branch - Copper Flower Sculpture

The Passiflora Branch is a hand-painted copper flower sculpture that captures the passionflower at its most dramatic, a fully open bloom with fine white and deep purple corona filaments radiating around a soft yellow-green centre. Each element is carefully shaped and painted by hand in the Milan atelier of Elisabetta and Carolina Sonzini, where traditional craftsmanship is expressed through a refined botanical lens.

Created using tôle peinte, an 18th-century French technique of painting on metal, the piece reveals subtle depth and tonal variation through its hand-applied finish. A second bloom opens in profile further up the stem, with a curling tendril rising above the foliage to give the piece real height and movement.

Mounted on a simple black wooden base, the Passiflora Branch is designed as a sculptural object - bringing structure and presence to a console, mantel, or interior setting. A lasting bloom, it reflects a thoughtful approach to material and craftsmanship.
