The Passiflora Branch is a hand-painted copper flower sculpture that captures the intricate structure and expressive form of the passionflower. Each element is carefully shaped and painted by hand in the Milan atelier of Elisabetta and Carolina Sonzini, where traditional craftsmanship is expressed through a refined botanical lens.
Created using tôle peinte, an 18th-century French technique of painting on metal, the piece reveals subtle depth and tonal variation through its hand-applied finish. The branching composition introduces height and movement, while the detailed blooms bring a sense of complexity and balance to the form.
Mounted on a simple black wooden base, the Passiflora Branch is designed as a sculptural object — bringing structure and presence to a console, mantel, or interior setting. A lasting bloom, it reflects a thoughtful approach to material and craftsmanship.
