A crushed heavenly blue silk velvet — soft and hazy, shifting between pale powder blue and a cooler grey-blue depending on the light — finished on all four sides with a sandstone fringe. The fringe is a warm, dusty tan that sits in deliberate contrast to the coolness of the velvet, the two colours quietly considered together. The pile moves freely across the surface, giving the velvet a depth that plain fabric would not have.
Designed in Germany and made by hand in India, with fabric dyed to Anke Drechsel's own colour specifications.
